Everyone can take the road to become a wizard, but there's a reason why so few of them succeed to be one.
Basically, magic is hard to be casted with the human's intelligence level.
Magic is the language of the world, and the science and math as a process of using, utilizing, and restructuring it.
The language itself is far beyond our concept. It is infinite but singular, has no meaning but symbolic.
However, as an act of persuading or impressing the world to make things happen, magic is not science but more of a literature or art.
Every process is different for every people and it relies on abstraction and uncertainty, but it's also a distinct following to the existing paths not just wandering around.
Reading crib sheets doesn't help.
It rather makes your fingers numb, or your head explodes.
